Effect of Particles Dispersion State and Packing Ability of the Slurry on the Density of Green Body for Ceramics Wet Shaping Processes

It is important to control and characterize the particles dispersion aggregation state in a slurry for ceramics wet forming processes. In these processes particle concentration of must be high, thus, it desired directly evaluate dense slurries without dilution. this paper, we discuss relationship between density green body fabricated tape casting process characteristics measured dilution, such as apparent viscosity (relative viscosity) packing fraction sediment. was demonstrated that with highest sediment yields sheet density, while lowest does not necessarily yield density. indicated key characterization controlling should considering change due thickening dehydrating process.
